MP Bahia Hariri, the president of Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development, received on June 23 an honorary doctorate in law from University of Dundee; one of the seven degrees conferred by the university on leading figures from the worlds of literature, science, business, politics, music and media.

Dean of the Law School Professor Alan Page gave a speech in which he praised MP Hariri's achievements in the fields of education and women empowerment, while commending her commitment to promoting social and human development. MP Hariri is the first Arab woman to receive the honorary doctorate from the school.
